DuPont Packaging Graphics unveils Cyrel DigiCorr System in China

CHINA - DuPont Packaging Graphics recently introduced the first DuPont Cyrel DigiCorr System in China. The system was installed in the DuPont Customer Technology Center in Shanghai China for demonstrations to customers.
To date, a total of three groups including 30 customers from converters and printers have visited the DuPont Customer Technology Center (CTC) to experience and view the demonstration of the newly installed DuPont Cyrel DigiCorr System that was conducted by DuPont Packaging Graphics.
During the visit, customers were showed the key advantages of the economic workflow and new digital plate making technology, producing a unique hybrid-fat topped dot, to enhance print performance while reducing fluting on images, as well as increasing print contrast overall quality.
“When comparing samples printed by DuPont Cyrel DigiCorr with conventional technology, the printing quality is obviously superior in terms of reduction of fluting and smoother vignettes,” said Qiu Dong, general manager -- Dongguan Yihua Flexo Technology Co. Ltd. “I believe that converters will definitely benefit from this new technology and feel more confident on conversion from offset to flexo printing.”
“We are glad to see this new technology has been introduced to China,” said Joyce Qi, packaging manager -- Black & Decker (Suzhou) Co. Ltd. “Consumers will enjoy a better looking corrugated package than ever.”
Besides the Cyrel Digicorr system, the Cyrel 2000ECLF Exposure system, Cyrel 4260 FAST processor, Cyrel Smart 2000P and 2000 Dryer as well as a Digital flexo suite for plate pre-mounting application from Esko Artwork also have been installed in Shanghai CTC for the purpose of training and technology developing.
The DuPont Cyrel DigiCorr System from DuPont Packaging Graphics produces uniquely shaped hybrid digital dots that print with minimal “fluting” or “washboarding,” the condition that results when the printing process reveals the corrugated flutes that provide the structural strength specific to corrugated shipping containers and store displays. In addition, the increased dot support with optimal shoulder angle results in a longer plate run length.
To date, there have been 20 installations of DuPont Cyrel Systems worldwide. Corrugated packages printed by the DuPont Cyrel DigiCorr system will soon appear in the China market.
