Nordson Corporation appoints president for Japan operations

JAPAN – Nordson Corporation has appointed Masaru Uchida as President of Nordson K.K (Japan) as of June 1st, 2012.
Uchida will continue to report to Nordson Corporate Vice President Greg Merk. Merk served as Nordson K.K President for the past two years since and will continue to serve in his role as Nordson Corporation's Vice President of the Pacific South Division and Japan and as Director of Nordson K.K.

Uchida joined Nordson K.K. in May 2008 as Director for Headquarters Administration with responsibility for finance, information systems, human resources and general affairs. Uchida assumed additional responsibilities as Representative Director in July 2010. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology from the Chiba Institute of Technology.
Nordson revenues in Japan in during fiscal year 2011 were US$111 million, constituting 9% of Nordson’s total fiscal year 2011 revenues of US$1.2 billion.
