TAIWAN – German injection molding machinery manufacturer Arburg has established a wholly owned subsidiary in Taiwan, as part of its strategy to better support domestic customers and expand in the Southeast Asian market.
Located in Taichung, the subsidiary begun operating on 1 April 2016 and is led by subsidiary manager Michael Huang and eight other employees.
"At our modern subsidiary, we will be offering a showroom with three ALLROUNDERs for testing and trails, facilities for customer training and a comprehensive spare parts store on a total floorspace of around 550 square metres," said Huang.
"We are also placing great emphasis on comprehensive application technology consulting and a wide variety of service offerings."
Arburg has been represented in Taiwan since 1981 through a trading partner. According to the German company, in addition to providing even better support to customers in Taiwan, the new subsidiary “will act as a bridge to South-East Asia enabling us to effectively support our customers from Taiwan in their internationalisation efforts.”
At present Arburg is represented with eight fully owned organisations in China, Hong Kong and the ASEAN countries.
