SINGAPORE -
Amcor has announced the appointment of Roelof Westerbeek as president of its Flexibles Asia Pacific business.

He is replacing Ralf Wunderlich, who has been president of Amcor Flexibles Asia Pacific since 2000 and is leaving Amcor to pursue other career interests.

Westerbeek will take up his new role with Amcor on 15 March 2016, and will be based in Singapore.

Westerbeek is joining Amcor from Royal DSM, a Life Sciences and Materials Sciences company, where he has held a number of leadership positions over a 27-year career. Since 2008, he has been president of DSM Engineering Plastics, a global business supplying products and materials to the automotive, electronics and food packaging industries. Prior to this role, he served as business unit president of DSM Engineering Plastics Asia Pacific. During his career at DSM, Westerbeek has worked and lived in Asia for 15 years.

Ron Delia, Amcor managing director and CEO, said, “I am delighted to appoint Roelof as president of Amcor Flexibles Asia Pacific.

“Roelof has extensive experience managing and growing a large scale business in the Asia Pacific region. He has overseen the development of greenfield projects and has a successful track record of delivering organic growth through innovation.

“Roelof’s depth of experience will be a valuable asset to Amcor as he steps into his new role.”
