INDIA – Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL)’s current vice president and executive director role for its personal care division will change as personnel shift between Unilever and HUL.
Samir Singh will be moved to another role as the Global Executive Vice President, Skin Cleansing at Unilever. His replacement will be Unilever’s Sandeep Kohli, currently Vice President, Myanmar Cambodia & Laos.
Samir Singh, currently Vice President & Executive Director, Personal Care at HUL will be taking over as the Global Executive Vice President, Skin Cleansing at Unilever. Sandeep Kohli, currently Vice President, Myanmar Cambodia & Laos will succeed Mr. Samir Singh as Vice President and Executive Director, Personal Care, HUL.
Singh has successfully led the HUL Personal Care (PC) business to not just consolidate its position as India's largest PC company, but also driven it to become one of the fastest growing beauty businesses in the country. Prior to that responsibility, he was the Global Brand Vice President for Lifebuoy and a member of the Global Category Leadership Team for Skin Cleansing. In this role, he led global strategy, innovation and communication for Lifebuoy in more than 30 key countries across the world. Singh was also the Personal Care Cluster Lead for South Asia in 2014.
Meanwhile, Kohli brings with him a rich experience of developing Unilever business, brands and people from his stints across India, UK and the high potential D&E markets of South East Asia and Australasia (SEAA).
Kohli has worked across the HPC and Foods businesses in HUL. In 2004, he moved to Philippines as the Head of Marketing, Foods. In 2007-08, he became the Global Brand Director, Savoury based in UK, after which, he joined the South East Asia and Australasia Leadership Team as Vice President, Marketing Operations. In this role he successfully built programs across marketing, customer development, media and CMI.
