Fraser and Neave Ltd (F&N), has announced plans to boost production capacity and drive business growth in Malaysia with an investment in excess of S$70 million (RM210 million) via its 55% owned subsidiary Fraser and Neave Holdings Bhd (F&NHB).
The investments include an aseptic cold-filling polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle line in Shah Alam, west Malaysia, as well as an ultra-high temperature processing (UHT) line and warehouse facility to be constructed in the Group’s East Malaysia facility in Kuching, Sarawak.
The investments are part of F&NHB’s committed S$102 million in capital expenditure in Malaysia over two years and will lift F&NHB’s total asset value in Malaysia to more than RM1.9 billion.
The addition of aseptic cold-filling PET bottle and UHT lines will enable it to meet increasing demand for its healthier range of drinks such as its ready-to-drink tea, soya and Asian soft drinks, that fulfil its philosophy of “Pure Enjoyment. Pure Goodness " the company highlighted.
