FRANCE – A new fragrance from Cartier features a sleek packaging design produced using a complex manufacturing technology process.
For its latest original fragrance for women, the Baiser Volé, Cartier tasked French packaging company Albea to create the design of the package.
The cap is designed like a small jewel box comprising four parts in gold plated ABS, and showcases Albea’s expertise in complex multi-assembly.
While light in weight, the molded cap projects the feel of heavy, precious metal. Its easy closing mechanism is made possible by a magnet placed at the right-hand edge of the cap. Another magnet, similar to the type used in the clasps of jewelry boxes, has also been inserted into the closure ring, which is made of a single piece of POM and has the Cartier signature brand name engraved on it.
In addition, the words ‘Baiser Vole’ is also subtly engraved on the top of the gold push button, which is elegantly designed to dissimulate the spray pump valve. The name Baiser Vole was purposedly engraved on the button for the name to radiate with the fragrance’s spirit with every application.
The elegant cap design was developed at Albéa’s production plant in Parigné L'évêque, France.
