Bonds on the Run: Finance Goes Green in China

More than 759 ‘climate aligned bonds’, known as China’s Green Bonds, are rapidly becoming the investment flavour of the month as new regulations and guidance are due to be issued in the coming months to bring clarity to the sector’s regulatory infrastructure, according to the China Green Bond Index, which was launched by the China Central Depository & Clearing Co in April 2016.

Bosch Packaging Technology says it remained on a growth path in 2014, with sales revenue for the fiscal year up by a nominal growth rate of 6.3% to around EUR 1.18 billion. Meanwhile, order intake for 2014 was 11% higher than the previous year, hitting EUR 1.23 billion.

Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) posted € 2.33 billion in sales for the 2014/2015 financial year (1 April 2014 to 31 March 2015), in line with expectations. The company said the 4% decline was due to portfolio optimization, the associated sales of parts of the company, and the effects of the general slowdown in growth in China.
