INDIA –
The Rajasthan High Court has directed the Indian government to immediately implement a rule for larger health warnings on tobacco packaging.

This development comes months after the measure - which stipulates that 85% of a tobacco pack’s printed surface needs to be covered by health warnings, up from the existing 20% - was put on hold by the government after a committee of MPs demanded local evidence that smoking causes cancer.
