CHINA/INDIA/USA – The US Department of Commerce and International Trade Commission (ITC) is investigating a complaint about the dumping of PET resin, used to produce beverage bottles and other packaging, from China, India, Oman and Canada.
It said that it would also look into government subsidies for products from China, India and Oman.
This investigation follows petitions filed with the US Department of Commerce and the ITC by DAK Americas, a subsidiary of Mexico's Alfa S.A.B. de C.V., M&G Chemicals, and Nan Ya Plastics Corporation, America, a subsidiary of Taiwan's Nan Ya Plastics Corporation.
