INDONESIA –
Indonesian businesses need to improve the packaging of its fruit for export in order to increase the value of its goods, advised the director for trade and international promotion at the Thai Embassy in Jakarta, Vilasinee Nonsrichai.

A minimum shelf life of 10 to 15 days is necessary for fruits to be exported, and this requires quality packaging, Vilasinee explained.

If Indonesia were to improve its packaging methods, Vilasinee added, its opportunities in the Thai market would be  greater as most Thais are particularly curious about foreign fruits.
